A Drowned Maiden’s Hair: A Book Review

Ok, time for another book review. Today I am sharing with you a book that I got sucked into a while ago and just couldn’t put down. The over-shadowing creepiness of the title was always lurking in corners of the pages for me, and the writing was spot-on and really descriptive. In this story, a young girl named Maud who is kept in an asylum is found one day by an old woman by the name of Hyacinth and adopted by her and her three sisters. Maud soon finds herself hidden in a web of deception, lies, and a strange family business. The nice ones are not always who you think they are. Read this book for thrills and suspense, but also for richly developed characters and a great plot that will keep you turning pages deep into the night. After all, it IS a melodrama. Read!
